Air Conditioning Plays a Major Role in a Healthy Home
Every home has the potential to collect moisture, and in turn create unwanted mold and mildew. Mold and Mildew have been proven to lead to breathing complications and allergies. Some molds may be toxic and could put your health at risk. It is very important to keep your home free of mold and mildew due to the health risks both involve.
One of the main ways to ward off mold and mildew is to keep your home dry and have air circulation throughout. One of the best ways to do this is with air conditioning. Air conditioning can be brought into a house in one of two ways; Either through a small air conditioning unit, or with an HVAC system (a whole house Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning system). An HVAC system has the ability to be used in multiple modes, and in turn performs multiple tasks. By setting your HVAC system on dry mode you create a dehumidifying environment, and by setting the HVAC system on fan mode the air movement reduces the moisture.
By using either of the two the air within the house is being circulated and excess moisture is being removed.
As a last resort, if air conditioning is not an available option, keep fans on in the house to keep air circulating.
