Prevent Black Streaks and Cracking

The number one complaint about siding is the black streaks that magically appear on the side of your RV.  These are caused by drainage down the side of your RV from rain.
To help prevent these black streaks from happening, there are a few options.  Keep rainwater from draining down the side by extending your gutter run off with either a gutter extension or clothes pin can work in a clinch.
The next way to prevent black streaks for really setting in is to wash and wax your RV regularly and also to clean the top of your RV often.  This is where the sediment that causes the black marks comes from.  So the more often you are able to clean your roof off, the better.
If you do get black streaks, remove them as soon as possible.  If they sun dry they are harder to get off.  If you do need to get rid of black streaks we have found products that are designed specifically to remove black streaks, check them out in RV Siding Products
