Keep the Rims of Your Truck or SUV in Good Condition

Rim rust prevention starts with what your rims are made of.  If rims are made of aluminum or chrome and they get scratched, it is rare they would rust, but some rims just have a coating of aluminum or chrome and if that coating is scratched to reveal a different material under, then it may rust. 

When it comes to Truck or SUV rims it also depends on what your Truck or SUV is used for.  If you have a Truck or SUV you use for work every day, it will probably be more prone to corrosion than a Truck or SUV that isn't used everday for work. 

To help keep your rims from rusting, every week spray them with a wheel cleaner, and then coat the rim with a protectant such as a spray wax or spray lubricant.
